From rural West Virginia, Anita Fisher was raised singing that old fashion gospel music with her family. Her father was a pastor and singing gospel music was just what the family did. Anita and her family traveled together as Fisher and Company and they had success with their first release titled "Fisher and Company." After her brother and sister decided to leave the group, Anita created a band, Anita Fisher Band and she has been going strong ever since. She has now teamed up with Ray Deaton, a founding member of IIIrd Tyme Out and together they continue to make great bluegrass music as The Anita Fisher Band with Ray Deaton. Anita continues to lead the group with her strong vocals while Ray joins her singing and playing bass. There latest CD "It's Amazing What A Prayer Can Do" has hit the airwaves and continues to get great airplay.
